Frequently Asked Questions

When does Playwell camp take place?

School holiday camp runs in accordance with the DOE school calendar. When DOE schools are closed during the academic year, camp runs from 9a-12p. During the summer break, we offer half day (9a-12p) and full day (9a-3p) options.

What will my child do at a Playwell camp?

Campers follow a visual schedule of daily activities that includes open play, movement games, STEM activities, arts and crafts, sensory exploration, obstacle courses, and a snack. The activities will center around the weekly theme with an emphasis on collaboration, problem solving, sensory integration, and building gross and fine motor skills.

What should we bring to camp?

Please pack a water bottle, snack, and a change of clothes (just in case, sometimes our activities can get messy!). We recommend labeling your child’s belongings.

How many campers will participate with my child?

Our camps that run during the school year allow a maximum of 6 children, and our summer camps accommodate a maximum of 8 children. We maintain a minimum instructor:camper ratio of 1:3 for individualized attention and maximum supervision.

Can I join for just one day?

Yes! We allow daily drop ins as well as weekly sign-ups.

Can caregivers stay for the duration of the camp?

Yes! While camp is designed to allow for drop offs, caregivers may stay if their child prefers or requires additional support. If your child is not yet potty trained and wishes to participate in camp, a caregiver is required to stay.
